Twilight Book review book 1

4 of 5 stars

This was one that I had as a younger girl and once again it was taken away because of religion ideation. I remember trying to read them because I had the whole series and I remember watching the movies as they came out. Bella has a character that you are supposed to put yourself kind of in the story because she has no personality and I remember hating that about her in the movie but having read the book from start to finish I can see the character differently and she doesn’t annoy me as much as she did when I watched the movies for the first time. I read this book in a little over 12 hours and this is the first time in a while I have been on a reading block. So here we are writing a review for the book. This is a review I won’t include spoilers in but I will tell you younger me would have loved this book and if I had been given the ability to read it then and not now as a 24 year old. I honestly had lower hopes for this book than I did with house of night because I assumed my head was going to give me the same reaction as the ending of that book. 12 or 13 year old me would have loved the relationship between Edward and Bella but I just can’t see them the same as I would have then because I had my relationship like that and I absolutely hated it so their relationship was a rough one to read in this first book. This is a series I will be finishing as I am really looking forward to letting myself get into the series and remember what it was like to be team Edward or Jacob. So come along as we read this series as well. Review will also be on the website. This is book 23 out of 300 this year and I am looking forward to getting to that goal! Short review but I promise they will get longer as I read the series.
